Appropriately, the first illy collection to be designed by a single artist was created by Sandro Chia, a celebrated master of contemporary art. Known as a leading figure of the Transavantgarde movement that formed around critic Achille Bonito Olivia the artist dedicated this collection to the faces and cities of Italy: Florence, Milan, Rome, Siena, Venice and Trieste.
