To celebrate ten years of illy collection, illycaffè pays homage to Louise Bourgeois, emblematic figure of contemporary art with the exhibit le jour la nuit le jour which will be opened at Palais de Tokio, Paris, in October 2002, and with this collection of cups, conceived and signed by her.
Four poetic messages which bring us back to the innumerable facets, interpretations and memories of her long life as woman and artist.
These questions or simple declarations become imbued with the shades of the childish world, evoked through the archetype colors of the children's femininity and masculinity. The pink and the blue arise the childhood theme recurrently cited or implied, often in a tormented way, in her works of art.
