he artist Jannis Kounellis is considered among the most significant contemporary artists of the past forty years. He has exhibited in the world's major museums. In the mid-sixties he joined the Arte Povera movement, of which he later became one of the main exponents.
The white opaque porcelain cups of this collection are immersed in glossy black paint: cups each one different from the next, not decorated but hand-dipped and rotated with a motion that varies with every cup.
Only 3,000 cups were produced for the world and the numbers are indicated on the packages.
